Whale Watching was a blast! There is just something so amazing about seeing these spectacular animals in their natural habitat We spotted 3 Grey Whales and 1 Baleen Whale
Snoqualmie Falls in Seattle was absolutely beautiful.. one of the most stunning waterfalls!!!
Matt has been wanting to take me to Seattle for quite sometime! So when he got a phone call and was invited to a surprise birthday party for one of our good friends we decided it would be super fun to head out there to the party and also spend a couple days exploring:) We were only there for a few days but we fit a lot in that short period of time. We stayed at the Edgewater downtown which was pretty. The first day we got there we got checked in and then decided to walk up to Pike Street to get some lunch. Not being familiar with the town I had no idea what I got myself into when Matt volunteered me to catch a fish at Pike Place Fish Market haha! The guys at the market were hilarious and made it fun though… the slippery fish slipped right through my my hands on the first throw but I caught it on the 2nd throw:) The men working there had me dying laughing when they asked me if I wanted them to hold my hair back so it did not get fish scales all in it ewww!! Besides feeling like I smelled like fish all day lol it was fun and something I would not typically do!!!
After we grabbed some lunch we headed over and spent some time at the Space Needle. Then we ventured to check out the EMP Museum which btw that building is just such an amazing piece of architecture! Inside we went and looked at the Seattle Seahawks Championship Ring etc and Kalyssa wrote and left a sticky on the Seahawks wall:) After we left there across the street was the Duck Tour so we decided we might as well check it out! We got Kalyssa a quacker and were on our way on the Duck Tour. Our Driver was great and very entertaining wearing different wigs the whole time. It was a great way to a get a mini tour of Seattle. Matt and Kalyssa were excited because they got to see the Cornelia Marie Crab Fishing boat from the TV show Deadliest Catch! On our drive back Matt took me up to Kerry Park so we could see the City View from up there and then we stopped at his fav Cafe Fiore for a treat. Then we drove through Queen Anne to see the different neighborhoods:)
After a fun filled first day we were exhausted and went back to the hotel to crash! The next day we got up early and headed to Hat Island to go Whale Watching! Whale Watching was a blast! There is just something so amazing about seeing these spectacular animals in their natural habitat We spotted 3 Grey Whales and 1 Baleen Whale. Jim and Kim (from the HydroShield Fam) met us at the Marina after and I finally got to meet them!!! We had lunch and then checked out their sweet HydroShield wrap they had done on their vehicle! We then headed to Snoqualmie Falls so we could see the beautiful waterfall there! After, we went back to the hotel for a little bit and then got ready and met Juan (from the HydroShield Fam) for dinner at a delicious Italian Restaurant called Volterra. Then we were off to the Surprise B-Day Party for Rick. Juan had flown out to Seattle for Rick’s surprise party as well so we all headed to Mercer Island to Rick’s Surprise Bday Party! Party was great and so well planned and Rick was def surprised!
Our last day in Seattle we went and did the Underground Tour which was really cool and then we ate lunch down the street at J & M Cafe. Since it was our last day there Kalyssa wanted to get a souvenir so Matt knew the perfect place for her to get one since she is obsessed with husky dogs haha! We stopped at the University of Washington Bookstore on campus and she was in heaven because she was surrounded by Husky everything:) She picked out a stuffed animal Husky and then we went back to the hotel for a bit to get packed up and rest. We met everyone that night for dinner at Anthony’s Pier 66 and said our goodbyes. Trip was so fun…Seattle is such a fun city and I am glad I finally got to go visit!!
